Donald Dale Quick

Donald Dale Quick, 55, of Sterling, Colo., died Aug. 14, 1993, at Sterling Regional MedCenter.

Memorial services were held Aug. 18, 1993, at Chaney-Walters Funeral Home with the Rev. Terence Keefe officiating.

Mr. Quick was born July 10, 1938, at Ainsworth, Neb., the son of Dale and Eda Pinkerton Quick.

The family moved to Wyoming shortly after his birth and it was there in Manville and Lusk that he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Niobrara County School in 1956.

Mr. Quick served with the Army National Guard and then worked as an automotive and marine mechanic at Wheatland, Torrington and Glendo. He moved to Colorado in 1972 and to Sterling in 1974 when he helped found and was co-manager of Sports Unlimited. In 1987 he became salesman and finance manager of Schmidt Imports. He retired in 1991 for health reasons.

Mr. Quick is survived by his wife, Anna Mae, Sterling; mother Eda Brummet, Loveland, Colo.; sons, Donald Jr. and wife, Becky, Laramie; Carl and wife, Sandy, Douglas; Jack, Sterling; daughter, Daleda Smith, and husband Warren, Denver; stepdaughter, Michelle Wiebers and husband Leon, Sterling; brothers, Will Quick and wife Pam, Lucerne, Colo.; Bud and wife, Karen Brummet, West Virginia; sisters, Nancy Brewer, and husband James, Cheyenne; Melody Blair, and husband Dave, Maryville, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Quick's name can be made to the American Lung Association for emphysema research.
