Ambrose Leo "Red" Rea

Funeral mass for Ambrose Leo "Red" Rea, 90, was conducted Feb. 13, 1991, at St. Jon's Catholic Church in Buffalo by the Rev. Joe Daly. Burial was made in the Willow Grove Cemetery.

Rea died Feb. 10 at his home in Buffalo. He was born Oct. 14, 1900, to Jeremiach and Margaret Rea in Salem, S.D. He grew up and received his education near Sioux Falls, S.D. and moved to Wyoming in 1915 and later homesteaded in the Lance Creek area.

On Sept. 19, 1922, he married Ida E. Lee in Murdo, S.D. The couple made their home in Midwest where he was employed by Standard Oil Company until he retired in 1958, when they moved to Buffalo. Mrs. Rea died in 1980.
