John Joseph Rogina

Services for John Joseph Rogina, age 85, were conducted Friday, April 1, by Rev. Del Cowley of the First Baptist Church in Lusk, Wyo. Cremation has taken place.

Mr. Rogina died March 24, at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 23, 1908, in Bonesteel, S.D., the son of Matthew Rogina and Cecilia Lieb Rogina. The family moved to Keeline, Wyo. where he was raised.

In 1944, he married Emily DuVall Menter in Lusk. He moved all over the state working construction as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking and was an avid inventor of gadgets. He had a mechanical mind and if he didn't have it, he made it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, ex wife, six brothers, Lewis Rogina, Frank Rogina, Edward Rogina, James Rogina, Laurence Rogina and Bud Crowley; one sister, Florence Rogina; one stepson, Melven Menter; and two step-grandsons, James E. Menter, Jr. and Robert L. Menter.

Survivors include three sons, Edward E. Rogina, Ronald P. Rogina and Gary A. McGehee; two daughters, Marcia R. White, Bakersfield, Calif. and Margo Dicbold.
