William Roland Dies in Colorado

William Fred Roland, 65, died Friday in a Canon City, Colo. hospital. He was born October 1, 1903, in Evanston, Ind. and ranched in Sioux County until the early 50's when he moved to Kansas and then to Canon City.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Canon City and of the Lions Club in Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Billie, four sons, Merle of rural Sioux County, and Peter, Allen, and William, all of Canon City; four daughters, Mrs. Howard Maraneille of Mitchell, and Barbara, Carolyn and Jean all of Canon City; one brother, George Roland of Forest Grove, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Holmgren of Scottsbluff and Mrs. Anna Riggens of Eugene, Ore.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Canon City with graveside services at Scottsbluff at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Mr. Roland is an uncle of Mrs. Charles Schaefer and Mrs. Alvin Publow of Harrison.
