Former Minister HereKilled in Car Crash

Virgil M. Hainsey, former pastor of the Harrison Methodist Church but more recently a teacher in the Dubois (Wyo.) High School, died of injuries suffered at 1:30 a.m. November 6 when the car he was driving struck a horse near Dubois. He was 46.

His wife, Genevieve, 48, was taken to the Riverton Hospital but not seriously injured, and a son Phil, 16, was uninjured.

Mr. Hainsey died at the Casper Hospital to where he had been transferred for specialized treatment of a severe skull fracture.

Funeral services were held November 11 and the body was taken to Alum Bank, Pa., for burial.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Randall A. Hainsey of Jeffrey City, Wyo., and Phillip G. Hainsey of the family home; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brown of Alliance, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Alum Bank, Pa. He was married October 31, 1943, in Van Buren, Ark.

He had served in the Army from 1942 to 1947 and in the navy from 1947 to 1949. He had been in the ministry of the Assembly of God and Methodist Churches.
