Francis Lee Scheenen
Funeral service for former Keeline resident Francis Lee (Frank) Scheenen, 44, of Dix, Neb., was held December 22 at the Allen Funeral Home in Kimball, Neb., with the Rev. Norman Austin officiating.
Mr. Scheenen died December 18 from injuries received in an oil rig accident in Morrill County, Nebraska.
He was born September 23, 1936, at Keeline, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis A. Scheenen. He had worked in the oil fields and moved to Edgerton in 1951 and to Kimball in 1958. He moved to Casper in 1960 and in 1976 moved to Roosevelt, Utah, then returned to Kimball in 1979. He was employed by Evertson Well Service of Kimball at the time of his death.
Mr. Scheenen was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Interment was in Kimball Cemetery.
Survivors are one son Kirk W. Scheenen and three daughters, Carla M.; Lorena L., and Dixie M. Scheenen, all of Kimball, his mother Mrs. Geneva Murphy and his stepfather Leo Murphy, both of Edgerton; one aunt Ilene Frye of Lusk; two brothers Carl A. of Midwest and Paul A (Tony) of Kimball; seven stepbrothers; and his grandmother Mrs. Florence Murphy of Crawford.
A memorial has been established in care of the family.
