Mrs. Charlie Scott, 50, dies

Mrs. Charlie Scott, 50, long-time resident of Lusk, died October 30 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital from an extended illness. Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel in Lusk Friday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church of Lusk officiated. Burial was in the Lusk cemetery.

Mrs. J.P. Watson played organ music and accompanied Harry Lyon, Lee Johnsonbaugh, Mrs. Robert Bramlet and Mrs. Walter Fernau as they sang "Abide With Me" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Casket bearers were Ralph Hanson, Jack Melugin, Herb Klindt, James Shillenn, Loren (Bing) Barr and Stan Rennard.

Mildred Wyoma Kuskie was born April 12, 1918, at Jay Em, Wyo., to Mr. and Mrs. August Clyde Kuskie. She was educated in the public schools of Red Cloud and Fort Laramie. She was married in 1940 to Charlie Scott.

Survivors include her widower, Charlie, one son, Jerry; a daughter, Janice; one grandson, Charlie Eugene, all of the family home; her mother, Mrs. Elsie Kuskie, and one brother, Glen Kuskie, both of Jay Em; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Black; Hat Creek; Mrs. Betty Greenley, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Mrs. Edna Beade, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Evelyn Meade, Visalia, Calif.

Mrs. Scott worked as a baby sitter for many years in her home.
