Early 1900's resident of Keeline dies

Mrs. Asunta Simanello a resident of the Keeline area in the early 1900's died March 23 in Streator, Ill., after several years of semi-invalidism.

She was born Asunta Minneci in Casteldaccia, Sicily, on August 18, 1895, and when she was 17 came to Streator where she married Mike Canale.

They moved to Keeline about 1912 buying the Hansen farm four miles west of Keeline.

They returned to Streator about 1930 where Mr. Canale died and she married Michael Simanello in 1934.

She is survived by her husband and one sister in Sicily. Seven other sisters died previously.
