Gilbert (Gib) Snell

Memorial service for Gilbert H. Snell, 80, of Glenrock was Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the Fundamental Baptist Church in Glenrock. Officiating was Pastor Darrell Grimm. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Snell died Feb. 7, at Wyoming Medical Center.

Mr. Snell was born May 31, 1918, the son of Walter and Pearl Snell in Nogal, New Mexico. His mother died when he was a small child and his father and older sister raised the family. When he finished high school he enlisted in the army. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He returned home and worked on his father's ranch. He moved to Wyoming and worked on a ranch in Medicine Bow and in 1952 moved to Lance Creek. He married Dorothy Harrington Miller in 1957 in Wheatland, Wyoming. He worked building gas plants and as a plant operator for K-N Energy.

Mr. Snell is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Glenrock; a daughter, Dixie Lee Bredthauer of Pinedale, Wyo.; three sons, Raymond George Miller, of Sandy, Utah, Robert (Bob) James Miller of Casper and Ron Snell of Casper; two sisters; Arlou Davis and Agnes Jones, both of El Paso, Texas; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the American Lung Association, PO Box 1128, Cheyenne, WY 82003.

Memorial Funeral Chapel Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
