David Lee Sorenson, Infant Son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Sorenson, Laid at Rest Monday in the Lusk Cemetery
Death came quietly to tiny David Lee Sorenson infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett L. (Bud) Sorenson of Newcastle and Lusk, Saturday morning, April 7th, at seven o'clock, in the home of the infant's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Taylor.
The child had submitted to surgery in Children's Memorial hospital in Omaha, Nebr., a year ago this month (April) and had been in failing health since that time. At the time of his demise, he had attained the age of one year, two months and 16 days.
Last rites were held at ten o'clock Monday morning, April 9th from the chapel of the Peet Funeral Home with Father M. J. McBrian, of St. Leo's Catholic Church officiating. Adding to the solemnity of the services was the impressive interpretation of "Little Pink Rose" and "Brahms Lullaby," by Mrs. C. J. Stafford with Mrs. Judson P. Watson accompanying at the organ. Burial was in the family plot in the Lusk cemetery.
David Lee Sorenson was born January 18, 1955 in the Lutheran Hospital in Hot Springs, So. Dak., the second child of Everett L. and Barbara J. (Taylor) Sorenson. He returned with his parents to Newcastle, Wyo., where until the last several months, when they moved to Lusk, they had made their home.
Other than his parents, he leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, Larry Bob, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Taylor of Lusk, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Sorenson of Newcastle, two great grandmothers, Mrs. Lydia Taylor of Lusk, and Mrs. Otto Larson of Tyler, Minnesota, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
