Former resident Thompson dies
Services were held August 3 for Cecil M. Thompson, 82, a Washougal, Wash. resident since 1960 and a former resident of Lusk.
He died in Vancouver August 1. He was a retired warehouseman for the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Born in Clearwater, Neb., March 14, 1895, he was a member of the Episcopal Church, a charter member of the Hermiston Elks Lodge, and a World War I veteran with membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion
Survivors are his wife Velma; a son, Cecil D. Thompson, Hermiston, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. John DeGroote and Mrs. G. M. Reed, both of Hermiston, and Mrs. Steve R. Johnson, Vancouver; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
