Funeral for Mrs. Wampler Held in Jackson

Funeral service was held December 17 in Jackson for Mrs. Ernest (Ada May) Wampler who was killed when struck by a truck in Douglas on December 14.

Mrs. Wampler was born December 11, 1931, in Manville to Hazel and Leo Eutsler. She attended the Stallman School through the eighth grade and graduated from Manville High School with the class of '49 as valedictorian. She worked two years as secretary of the high school after graduation and drove the school bus part of those years.

January 4, 1951, she married Ernest Wampler of Lusk. Two children were born to the couple while they lived in Lusk. Mrs. Wampler was employed at the Lusk Livestock Commission Company from 1957 to 1960.

The Wamplers moved to Jackson in 1960 when he became deputy game warden. Mrs. Wampler was employed by the Teton National Forest for over five years until the family was transferred to Douglas in July 1971.

Survivors include her husband and two children, Rebecca, 19, and Ernie Jr., 17; three sisters, Mrs. Mille La Bonte, Laramie, Mrs. Fay Landon, Scottsbluff and Mrs. Katherine Thompson, Cheyenne; and one brother Art Eutsler, Missoula, Mont.
