Services for Joseph A. Warren To Be Held Saturday Afternoon

Joseph A. Warren was found dead Tuesday morning in his room at the Silver Cliff Hotel, where he had made his home for the past year and a half. Knowing that he had been in poor health for the past nine months, and not making his usual appearance, Mrs. Shoopman, one of the proprietors of the hotel, knocked on his door to arouse him. When she did not receive a response, his room was opened and he was found to be dead.

Examination by medical authorities disclosed that he had been stricken with a heart attack while preparing for bed, and that he had instantly passed away.

Little is known of his life other than that he was born May 25, 1886 at Richland, Missouri, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warren. At the time of his demise he had attained the age of 68 years, eight months and seven days.

It has been established that he had homesteaded north of Lost Springs, and during his lifetime had been a professional ice skater still carrying his ice skates with him in his car. He was devoted to outdoor life and nature, and possessed great knowledge of their wonders. He had never been married. Mr. Warren was a carpenter by trade and for some time had been retired.

He is survived by several brothers and sisters living in Missouri and in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be held here at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6th, from the chapel of the Peet Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bozart, pastor of the Open Bible Standard, officiating.
