Meigs L. "Mike" Cork
Memorial Services for Meigs "Mike" Cork, age 82, will be held Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m., at the Bader Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place with interment in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Cork died February 28, in Pueblo, Colo.
He was born July 18, 1911 in Whiting, Iowa, the son of Leonard Lionel and Emma Boyles Cork.
Mike moved to Edgemont, S.D. as a young man, working at ranching and was a baker until 1936 when he moved to Lusk, Wyo. and managed the Lusk Bakery. In 1965 he moved to Denver, Colo. and worked as a manager of several apartment complexes until his retirement in 1977. After his retirement he moved to Pueblo, Colo. and resided with his daughter and son-in-law.
He was a member and past Master of Masonic Lodge No. 24, AF &AM and past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star in Lusk, Wyo.
Mr. Cork was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Orletha Cork on February 16, 1972. Survivors include his daughter and husband, Juanita "Nita" and Chuck Haines; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Traci Lea and Lawrence Rodriguez, all of Pueblo, Colo.; brother Roy of LaGrande, Ore.; sisters Clara McEwen, Broken Bow, Neb., Veril Beard, LaGrande, Ore.; Anna Bartlett, Bend, Ore. and Leila Driscoll, Tallahassee, Fla.
