Leslie H. Benshoof

Leslie H. Benshoof, resident of the Prairie Center Community and Torrington for the past 35 years, died March 26 at the Torrington hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, from the First Baptist Church at Torrington with Rev. Charles Davison officiating. Burial was in Valley View cemetery.

Mr. Benshoof was born Sept. 4, 1896 at Wayne, Neb. The son of Fred and Dora Bennett Benshoof, and married Daisy Cooper at Yankton, S. D. on August 7, 1926.

The family came to Goshen County from Knox County, Neb. in 1931 and lived in the Prairie Canter community until 1958 when they moved to Torrington.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his widow of Torrington; a daughter, Lois M. Hays of Cheyenne; a brother, William of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Mason of Laurel, Neb. and 2 grandchildren.
