William Hassed, 39, of Wheaton, Ill. Died of a heart condition at his home Sunday afternoon. Mr. Hassed had suffered a severe heart attack in November and never completely recovered but was able to work part time. Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon in Wheaton.

The Hassed family was well-known in Niobrara County, Mr. Hassed having served as Niobrara County Sheriff. After Mr. Hasseds death in 1937 the family moved to Wheaton. William, better known as Billy here, attended Lusk schools and graduated with the class of 1935.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mable Hassed of Wheaton; one sister Mrs. Helen Vickory, Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, James of Greeley, and John and Robert of Wheaton.
