Perry F. Benshoof Dies in Torrington

Perry Franklin Benshoof, 90, of Jay Em died October 3 at the Spencer Hospital from complications of old age. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Colyer Chapel in Torrington with Rev. Jon Schnackenberg of Riverton officiating. Burial was made in the Jay Em Cemetery.

Perry Benshoof was born in Bluegrass, Ia. December 28, 1865, the son of William Benshoof and Louise Cooper. He married Rosella Bennett in 1888. She died in 1932. In 1933 Mr. Benshoof married Mary McGill who died in 1949.

He has resided in the Jay Em and Prairie Center communities for the past 43 years. He was a retired rancher.

He is survived by two sons; Harry of Prairie Center and Lundy of Otis Orchards, Wash, and three daughters, Miss Inez Benshoof, Mrs. Gene Browder and Mrs. Ruby Hahn all of Jay Em; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two sisters; Mrs. Art Auker and Mrs. Emma Lindsay both of Wayne, Nebr. also survive.
