Frank Smith Dies Thursday

Frank Smith, 83, of Lusk and a resident of this area for 47 years, died last Thursday at the Ritchardt Rest Home of the infirmities of old age.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel with Chester Dalton, student minister of the Congregational Church in charge. Music was provided by Mrs. J. P. Watson who also accompanied Mrs. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Emerson Bonner singing "Beyond The Sunset" and "Nearer My God To Thee." Pallbearers were K. W. Hughes, Elmer Johnson, W. A. Shaffer, and Ted Robinson of the Flattop community and C. A. Whelan and Matt Bast of Lusk. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Franklin Marion Smith, the son of George and Frances Flint Smith was born August 23, 1877 in Ida County, Ia. The family lived in Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota. He married Mrs. Ragna Wagner, a widow with two daughters in Benson, Minn., in November of 1911. In 1913 the family came to Wyoming, homesteading south of Keeline. After disposing of the farm, Mr. and Mrs. Smith lived in Idaho several years before moving to Lusk.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vern Hulburt of Twin Fall, Ida, three granddaughters, Mr. Claude Brown, Jr., and Mrs. Marlo Acock of Twin Falls and Mrs. C. E. Hollon of Lusk; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Ceske of DeGraff, Minn.; a brother, Dan W. Smith of Keeline.
