Dick Henton, 28, Dies in Calif.; Funeral Here Fri

Richard (Dick) Henton, 28, of Conoga Park, Calif., and former Lance Creek resident, died of cancer at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood, Calif., Sunday morning. He had been stricken with cancer seven years ago but had been able to resist it and live normally until recently.

Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk at 2:00 P.M. Friday with the Reverend Robert Boutwell of the Congregational Church officiating.

Mr. Henton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Red) Henton of Lance Creek was born March 3, 1940. He received his elementary education in the Lance Creek School and was graduated from Niobrara County High School with the class of 1958. He attended the University of Wyoming, Casper College and took training in electronics in Salt Lake City.

In April 1960 he and the former Florine Heany were married. They had one son, Stewart.

For the past five years Mr. Henton had been employed as office manager for Del Webb Construction Co.

In addition to his widow, parents and son, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Williams of Cow Creek, Mont., and the parents of his widow, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heany of Lusk.
