Mrs. Nancy Eutsler's Baby Dies Suddenly

Finding her six-months-old baby dead in his crib was the terrifying experience of Mrs. Nancy Eutsler of Lusk at about 12:3O p.m. Tuesday, March 15.

Mrs. Eutsler was washing in the basement of her home and had been upstairs only a short time before. The baby was playing in his crib and seemed perfectly well. Upon coming upstairs again a little later she found him dead.

County Health Officer Dr. W.E. Reckling and Coroner G. Earl Peet were called and after investigation decided that the baby died of a heart attack.

Just about five months ago the father of the baby, Charles Eutsler, was killed while walking along the highway.

The baby was born September 9, 1948 and had been named Carl. Besides his mother, surviving are a 2-year-old brother, Wiliam Joe, and grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eutsler. Relatives on the mother's side of the family reside in England.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel at 2 o’clock Wednesday by Rev. L.awrence P. Juell, with burial in the Lusk Cemetery.

Note: The name William Joe has been used here, as this is the name on the gravestone, and this also matches the survivor information for his father, Charles William Eutsler.
