Mrs. James Hoblit Passes Away After Many Months Illness

Although not unexpected, Lusk residents were shocked and grieved, when it became known Tuesday evening that Mrs. James Hoblit, 43, had passed away at her home just south of Lusk.

A woman still young in years, prominent in the social life of the community, an excellent neighbor, wife and mother who will be greatly missed. The entire community mourns her untimely death and sincere sympathy is extended to the husband and young daughter from whom she was taken.

Mrs. Hoblit had suffered from a heart weakness and complications for the past year and the last few months it was known that her condition was very serious, but because she was still a young woman it was hoped that she would be able to overcome her affliction.

Part of the time that she has been ill she was in the Lusk Hospital but several weeks ago was removed to her home whee the end came about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Aug. 13th.

Emma Wagner came to Wyoming as a young girl 27 years ago and has made her home in or near this community since that time.

On April 19, 1920 she was married to James Hoblit at Upton, Wyoming. To this union one daughter, Donnabelle, was born.

Besides her husband and daughter she leaves to mourn her death, her mother Mrs. Frank Smith and stepfather Frank Smith of Lusk and one sister, Mrs. Verne Hulbert of Boise, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the Peet Mortuary with Rev. M H. Marshall reading the service.

Burial will be made in the Lusk cemetery with Roy Chamberlain, Sharon Chamberlain, H. J. Templeton, Leonard Ong, Quince Boan and Doty Mead acting as pallbearers.

The complete obituary is not available as the Herald goes to press but will be published next week.
