She taught many successful terms of school in the districts in Sioux County, Nebraska.
On June 6, 1917, she was united in marriage with John Hoffman at Crawford, Neb. With the exception of a few months during 1917 and 1918, which were spent at her husband's homestead and at her parents' home, they have made their home at their present place of abode near Hat Creek, Wyo.

Two sisters preceded her in death, Hattie Annie, in December 1902, and Mrs. Charles Fluent in January, 1932.
In 1918 she expressed her wish to serve God. Since that time she has sought to "fight the good fight of faith; she has finished her course; henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness."
Edna was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister; through she suffered much, she was never too ill to be interested in those around her and those who knew her will remember her as a true, generous and hospitable friend.
