Dale Thompson Dies Suddenly, At Douglas
Dale Thompson, 23 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Thompson of this city, passed away Tuesday evening very suddenly at the Douglas hospital.
His death is quite a shock to a wide circle of friends in Lusk, who did not even know the young man was sick.
He was taken ill at about 2:00 o'clock on Monday. Tuesday noon he was taken to Douglas by Dr. Murphy, and at the hospital there underwent an operation at 3:00 o'clock. When the incision was made, the whole abdominal cavity was found to be filled with blood.
Upon investigating further a hole about the size of a quarter was found in the lower part of his stomach. As there was no symptom of gastric ulcer, the case is puzzling to the doctors. The young man lived until 10 o'clock, when he passed away, following a hemorrhage.
Interment will take place at Douglas on Friday at 2 o'clock.
The deceased is survived by his parents and a younger brother, Jess, of this city.
