James M. Lincoln Dies At Home In Jireh On Monday

James M. Lincoln was born in Henry Co., Iowa, January 18, 1855. He passed away at Jireh, Wyo., January 10, 1927, being at the time of his passing, 71 years, 11 months and 23 days.

When but a small boy, he moved with his parents to Adams Co., Iowa. On October 21, 1877, Mr. Lincoln was united in marriage to Miss Fannie M. McPherron of that county. In 1900 they removed to Kansas where they lived until 1918, when the family moved to Jireh where they have resided since.

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln, all of whom, with the wife survive to mourn his passing. They are Mrs. Laura McCreedy of Corning, Iowa; Joshua M.; Oscar L.; Robert A.; Alfred L.; all of Jireh, Wyo.; Lloyd E. of Englewood, Colo.; and Aaron of Cottier, Wyo. He also leaves two brothers, George I. and Thomas D. of Books, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Mary Foote of Mt. Etna, Iowa, his parents, one brother and one sister having preceded him in death.

Mr. Lincoln united with the Methodist church in early life and still retained his membership at the time of his demise.

Though a constant sufferer for the past four years, he fought a good fight and shall now receive his reward.
