Mrs. Sam Guber Dies Suddenly Monday Night

Wife of Van Tassell Station Agent Dies Following Birth of Son; Funeral Wednesday

Mrs. Hazel Guber, 31, wife of Samuel Guber, of Van Tassell, Wyo., died Monday night at the Lusk Hospital from complications following the birth of a son, who was born on November 7. The baby is still in a serious condition, but it is thought that he will live.

A blood transfusion was made on Monday in an effort to save Mrs. Guber's life, the donor of the blood being her husband. Many local young men volunteered to give blood, but Mr. Guber's was selected, as it matched that of the patient.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Peet Mortuary, Mrs. J. H. Wilhermsdorfer, of Harrison, Neb., officiating at the brief but beautiful rites of the Christian Science faith.

Mrs. H. E. Zerbe, Mrs. J. Cowman and John Pendray, accompanied at the piano by Miss Alice Fowler, sang "The City Four Square."

Pallbearers were Harry and Jack Burnham, Ralph McKelvey, Alphonse Zielinski, John Pendray and Frank Martin.

Interment was made in the Harrison, Neb., cemetery.

Survivors are Samuel Guber, husband; Carol Joyce, 2-year-old daughter, and Samuel Keith, the infant son; Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Sowders of Natrona, Wyo., parents; Mrs. Thelma Boyd and Miss Vivian Sowders of Riverton, Wyo., sisters.
