Oscar E. Bostrom

Memorial services for Oscar E. Bostrom, 98, of Loveland Colo., will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 16, 2001, at Allnutt Hunter Chapel in Loveland, Colo. Mr. Bostrom died at McKee Medical Center Feb. 1, 2001.

Mr. Bostrom was born October 22, 1902 in Lysvik, Sweden, to Jon and Elma Bostrom. After graduating from school he joined the Swedish Navy for two years prior to moving to America. He came to the Nebraska and Wyoming area to work on the railroad upon coming to the U.S. and worked at building highway bridges. He went to night school in Denver and worked days in construction, so that he could learn to make blue prints. He worked as a custom home builder, self-employed in Lusk for 34 years before retiring in January 1971.

He married Alma Evelyn Lingwood, Dec. 18, 1936 in Lusk. Oscar was a Life Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a member and past president of the Lions Club in Lusk. He was also the former mayor of Lusk. He loved fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Bostrom of Loveland, Colo.; one son, Dale O. Bostrom of Sacramento, Calif; three daughters, Eileen Moore, of Longview, Wash., Audrey Wilson and husband Leroy of Albuquerque, N.M., Judy Rippley of Berthoud, Colo.; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jon and Elma Bostrom, one brother and four sisters.
