Tom Downie, Old Lusk Resident, Goes to Reward

Word has been received by the Herald that Tom Downie, old-time resident of Lusk, passed away at the home of his brother in Mount Ayr, Iowa on Monday, September 2, and was buried at his old home in San Pierre, Indiana, on Friday, September 6th.

A letter received from Tom's brother, E. S. Downie, is as follows:


Mount Ayr, Iowa
Sept. 7, 1929

Editor Lusk Herald,
Lusk, Wyo.

Dear Sir:
Our dear brother, Tom Downie, passed quietly to his reward here last Monday, September 2. Poor old Tom's request, was to notify all friends in Lusk, Wyoming that he loved them all.

We laid him at rest at San Pierre, Indiana, September 6th, 1929, to await the great day of Judgement.

He and I thank you all for your acts of kindness and hospitality to him and his, as well as to me.
