Roscoe Ross Dies Monday
Funeral service for Roscoe R. Ross, 87, will be held in Lusk at Peet Mortuary Chapel this Thursday afternoon at 1:00. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery. Mr. Ross died Monday in Casper.
Mr. Ross served with the U.S. Army in World War I, and homesteaded 20 miles north of Lance Creek in 1919. He remained here until early 1970s. He and Veda Overacre were married at Barryvilly, Ark., on Feb 7, 1928.
Ross was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter Emma Lou, and ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by six children, Riley of Lance Creek, John of Denver, Marvin and Tom of Casper, Jane Manning of Banning, Calif., and Mary Dickau of Douglas.
