Charles H. Elliott Dies in Lusk Sun.

Charles H. Elliott, a resident of Wyoming since 1900, died in the Manring Rest Home June 3 at 8:00 o'clock p.m., being a patient there for two and one-half years. Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Mortuary at 2:00 o'clock June 6.

Concluding rites were officiated by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Elliott was a member. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery with the following casket bearers: Roy McLain, Emil Thurston, Jesse McCormick, Roy Turnbull, Z. B. Crinklaw, and Don C. Taylor.

Charles H. Elliott was born May 8, 1870 in Alton, Ohio, Franklin County, the son of John Wesley Elliott and Lute Fullerton Elliott. Mr. Elliott served in the Spanish-American War.

He came to Wyoming from Lincoln, Nebr. in 1900 and resided at Newcastle until 1919, when he came to Lusk. He entered the restaurant business at that time and later followed his chosen occupation of painter. As time passed, he became the janitor at the post office and high school. Mr. Elliott was chairman of the Democratic party for a number of years and a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an only sister. He leaves no known relatives. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 81 years.
