Helen Bower Dies
Mr. and Mrs. Verne Browder, Terry and Beth who live northeast of Lusk attended the funeral of Mrs. Helen L. Bower of Torrington March 13. Mrs. Bower, a sister of Browder, died March 11 at the Goshen County Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Francis N. White at the United Presbyterian Church, with burial in Valley View Cemetery.
Born on Nov. 21, 1926, at Lusk, Mrs. Bower attended school at Prairie Center and Torrington where she graduated in 1946. She later attended Denver Business College. She has been employed for about three years by the Torrington Livestock Commission.
On Sept. 3, 1950, she married Alvin W. Bower of Torrington. He died in 1963.
Mrs. Bower was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and a Circle member of the church.
Survivors are a son Dale who is in the Navy; daughter, Diane Bremer, Lingle and Connie Bower, Chadron; Mr. Browder and one grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Christian Concerns of the United Presbyterian Church will be appreciated by the family.
