Mrs. Max Heth Dies At Lusk Monday

Death claimed Mrs. Elsie Heth, 52, at the Spencer Hospital Monday, April 28, after she had been in failing health for some time.

She had been a resident of Niobrara County for more than 30 years, coming here with her family as a young woman to file on a homestead in the vicinity of Hat Creek.

Elsie Fietta Himes was born at Alliance, Nebr. Sept. 18, 1899, the daughter of Sumner and Luella Himes. Her childhood was spent in the vicinity of Alliance where she attended school and lived until moving to Wyoming. While living in the Hat Creek community she met Max Heth and on Mar. 17, 1921 they were married at Alliance.

They are the parents of five children, Evelyn Louise Goddard, John Wesley and James William of Hat Creek; Rex Lee of the armed forces, and Eula Mae of Lusk. Besides her children surviving are her husband and four brothers, Jesse M. Himes of Phoenix, Ariz., Emerson Himes, Hat Creek; Percy A. Himes, Deer Park, Wash., Edward HImes, Alliance, Nebr., and a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Younkin of Hat Creek; also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Peet Chapel Thursday afternoon at 2:00 with the Rev. Frank Schweissing, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs. H. J. Templeton and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro will be the singers, accompnied by Mrs. J. P. Watson.

The casket bearers will be Melvin Miller, Audry Miller, Robert Scott, Edmund Cook, Fred Bryant and Dudley Fields.

Interment will be in the Lusk Cemetery.
