Anita Jeanne Jassman

Anita Jeanne Jassman, age 58, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, with her family, and longtime friend Anita Nusser, at her side. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lusk.

Pier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Anita was born on Dec. 12, 1949, in Torrington, Wyo., to Harvey and Caroline (Knudsen) Poage. She was raised on a ranch in the Keeline, Wyo. area, where she also attended elementary/middle school. Anita graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1968.

On March 3, 1972, Anita married Richard N. Jassman and the couple made their home at the ranch near Keeline until 1975, at that time moving to the Jassman Ranch, where there, they raised their family.

Anita had many loves in life, some of which included teaching Sunday school and being involved with the church, ranch life and training horses, crafts, but her greatest love was family. She was passionate with helping others, which involved working at the nursing home, and up until her illness, she was employed at Diversified Services, Inc., assisting the handicapped.

Anita is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard Jassman of Lusk, Wyo.; her children Jennifer (Doug) Forster of Tulsa, Okla.; Lex (Stacy) Jassman of Lusk, Wyo.; Tinette (Lee) Hales of Lusk, Wyo.; Jodi Davis (special friend Mike Hurd) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; parents Harvey and Caroline Poage of Torrington, Wyo.; a sister Janice (Dewey) Baars of Wheatland, Wyo.; a brother Vernon (Teresa) Poage of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Breyden Hales.

Memorial may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lusk, Wyo., or the Special Touch Program at the Community Hospital, Torrington, Wyo.
