Alice Irene Rabe

Funeral services for Alice I. "Auntie" Rabe, 69, were held in Harrison, Nebraska, March 10 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Rev. Lee Wisroth officiating. She died March 7, 1986. Interment was in the Harrison Cemetery.

Alice Irene Rabe was born October 15, 1917, to William and Emma Grote at Wilcox, Nebraska. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church at Harrison. She served as organist for the church for many years.

She was united in marriage August 31, 1940, to Albert Rabe at the Lutheran Church in Harrison. They had no children, but the many nieces and nephews were like their own.

She spent most of her married life on the ranch seven miles northwest of Harrison. In June of 1984, she moved into Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father, and one brother, Earl.

Survivors include: her mother, Mrs. Emma Grote of Harrison; two brothers, Melvin and Ronald both of Harrison; two sisters, Elaine Rabe and Alda Engebretsen also of Harrison; sister-in-laws, Ola Mae Grote, Madeline Grote, and Jerry Sue Grote all of Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
