Mrs. Foley, 87, Dies Here Tues.

Mrs. Josephine Foley, 87, died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital Tuesday following a lingering illness.

A funeral mass will be said at St. Leo's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Cornelius O'Conner officiating Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Rosary services were held at the Peet Chapel Wednesday evening. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Edward of Lusk and Elmer of Hamilton Dome, Wyo; one duaghter Mrs. Ralph Hanson of Lusk; and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edith Foley of Lusk.

Last Rites Held for Mrs. Josephine Foley


A funeral mass for Mrs. Josephine Foley, 87, was said from St. Leo's Catholic church last Thursday with the Rev. Father Cornelius O'Conner officiating.

Mrs. Foley died at Niobrara Memorial Hospital September 15 following a lingering illness.

St. Leo's choir provided the music and pallbearers were: Bill Maroney, Dick Edwards, John Brainard, Dave Christian, Frank Leonard, Cecil Jacquot and Jess Updike.

Josephine Grantzinger was born April 24 1877 at Erie, Pa., the daughter of mr. and Mrs. Joe Grantzinger. In 1897 she and Ed Foley were married and she made her home at Merna, Nebr., until the death of Mr. Foley seven years ago. She has since lived with her daughter, mrs. Ralph Hanson and Mr. Hanson.

she is survived by two sons, Edward of Lusk and Elmer of Hamilton Dome, Wyo.; her daughter, Mrs. Hanson, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edith Foley of Lusk; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
