Obituary

Chas. Siefkes, who died at the Douglas hospital last week after an operation had been performed on him, was born at Peoria, Ills., in October 1889, and was just 23 years of age.

His parents moved to Benson, Ills., where they lived for eleven years. On March 6, 1911, he came to Van Tassell and filed on a claim south of town. He was a fine manly fellow and had a host of friends in the country surrounding Van Tassell and all join in sympathy for his relatives in his sudden decrease. Two sisters from Peoria and his brother Albert of Douglas, were at the funeral.
