Like a bolt of lightening out of the clear sky, the news flashed over the wires last Tuesday that Leonard Leeling was run over and seriously hurt. He had been helping haul hay all forenoon and was coming in with the empty rack, and somehow - no one will ever know how it happened - he was run over and his skull badly fractured. When found he was unconscious and remained so until death relieved him at 1 o'clock Wednesday morning. Funeral services were held at the hall Thursday, the casket literally covered with flowers brought by loving friends. It was the largest funeral ever held on the Ridge, there being 47 teams in the procession. He will be greatly missed in the home and by all the boys in the neighborhood as he was a jolly and kind-hearted boy to be with; but he has gone to a far better place and we can only say "Thy will be done." The bereaved family have the sympathy of the whole community.
