John A. Smith

John Albert Smith entered eternal life on April 16, 2010. Born July 21, 1921 in Edgemont, South Dakota, he graduated high school in Lusk, Wyoming. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater of Operation. John was a patriotic American, supporting veteranís issues. He was a 50 year member of Free and Accepted Masons of California, and was also involved in the Moose Lodge, NARPE, and AARP. John worked for the FFA in Electronics for over 30 years, enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards.

He will be greeted by his parents Albert Moses and Rosa Mae, along with his brothers Delbert Smith, Frank Smith, son-in-law Stephen Blunt and great grandson Benjamin Blunt.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty Arlene Smith, wonderful daughters Yvonne Brennan (Tom) of Burbank, Calif., and Rochelle Blunt of Stockton, Calif. He was proud of all his grandchildren, Rebecca Blunt Paseman (Adam), Kelly Brennan Barnes (Ken), John Brennan (Susan), Joseph Blunt, great grandchildren: Dillon Barnes, Brianna Brennan, Abigale Barnes, and Sean Brennan. John also leaves behind his siblings, Jo Porter of Washington, Jim Smith of New Mexico, Mary Shiley of Illinois, Clarabelle Davis of Wyoming, Charles Smith of Wyoming, and Doug Smith of Wyoming.
