Sally Lou (Morehouse) Fernau
Sally Lou (Morehouse) Fernau was born in Stuart, Neb. to Clinton Morehouse and Lillian May Sprague on Aug. 4, 1933. As a child her family moved to Edgemont, S.D. and then to Lusk, Wyo. She attended Niobrara County High School and then worked for the Lusk State Bank. Sally married Harry John Fernau Jr. on Oct. 18, 1953 and continued to reside and work in Lusk for many years.
Sally continued to work in the banking industry for many years in Lusk, Wright, and Gillette. Harry and Sally started and operated grocery stores in Lusk, Glendo and Guernsey, Wyoming. Sally then became a Financial Advisor and they moved to Douglas, Wyo. where she resided until her death on May 1, 2010.
Sally was a busy lady for most of her life as a loving Mother, business woman, and still had time for Eastern Star and other functions and causes. Even with her busy life, she always had time for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest love was helping people and this showed in all of the things she kept herself involved with. Sally will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry John Fernau Jr.; sisters Bette Jean Schnorenberg and Patricia Ann Morehouse; brothers Clinton Crawford Morehouse and Larry McKay Morehouse.
Per her wishes she was cremated. Her ashes will be combined with those of her loving husband Harry so they can be as close in death as they were in life. A Memorial service was held in Lusk, Wyo. at the Pier Funeral Home on Saturday May 8 at 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Lusk Senior Citizens or Douglas Senior Citizens Centers.
