Obituary

Mrs. Eva Sharp was born in Clay county, Missouri, December 22, 1845, where she lived until 1873, when she went to California and was married to James Critchfield, who died at Beloit, Kansas, in 1877, Mrs. P. E. Davis of Douglas being the only child of this marriage. she then returned to Missouri where she met J. M. Sharp and was married to him in 1881, when they moved to Iowa and later to Nebraska, where they lived two years, coming to Lusk, Wyoming, in 1886, having resided on their ranch on Old Woman creek ever since. Mrs. Sharp had been a confirmed invalid for the past few years and went to Douglas some few weeks since to receive medical treatment, where she died March 27th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. E. Davis. She joined the Christian church when quite young and was respected and beloved by all who knew her. She was buried at Douglas by Rev. Young, pastor of the M. E. church at that place.

Life's work well done,
Life's race well run.
Life's crown well won,
Then comes rest.

Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Phil Davis, at Douglas, March 27, 1905, Mrs. J. M. Sharp of Lusk. Mrs. Sharp has been ailing for many months, but while her friends knew she was a sick woman, they did not think she was so near the end. Deceased has lived among us for a great many years and was known to us as a woman of many good qualities. We sympathize deeply with the husband, mother and daughters who are left to mourn. The remains were laid to rest in the Douglas cemetery, funeral services being conducted yesterday afternoon at that place.
