Allen Van Os, 65, Dies November 9

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Peet Mortuary for Allen Van Os, 65, who died Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Spencer Hospital as a result of a heart attack. (Note: The headline is printed here as published, but November 6 is a Wednesday in 1946, so that is the date used here.

Rev. Lawrence Juell, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated at the services. A solo was sung by Mrs. H. J. Templeton, accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson.

The body was shipped to Denver for cremation at the request of the deceased.

Mr. Van Os came here about 1918 and homesteaded. He has not been very well since he suffered a broken leg about two years ago. Mr. Van Os served with the British army in the Boer War in Africa.
