Charles A. Finley Succumbs Saturday

Charles Alfred Finley, aged 53 years, 4 months and 16 days, succumbed to a lingering illness at the Manring Convalescent home at 8:40 o'clock last Saturday morning, January 13th, death relieving several years of suffering.

Mr. Finley had been a resident of the Whitman community for a number of years but came to this city a little more than a year ago in order to take treatments for his affliction. It was thought he was recovering until recently when his condition became worse. Since that time he gradually weakened until the hour of passing.

The deceased is survived by five daughters and one son. Two sisters, Mrs. Milo Wolff and Mrs. Earl Hales, both of Whitman, and one brother, Fred of Crawford, also survive.

The remains were placed in charge of the Peet mortuary, and prepared for shipment to Crawford, being taken to that city Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church of Crawford and the remains laid to rest beside those of Mrs. Finley, who preceded her husband in death several years ago.
