Gwen Brazelton

Services were conducted May 27, 1992, at the United Methodist Church in Cody for Gwen Brazelton, a former Lance Creek resident, by the Rev. John S. Lewis. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Brazelton died May 23, 1992, at the West Park Hospital in Cody. She was born March 13, 1926, in Pocahontas, Ark., the daughter of Thomas D. and Maude Abnathy Warner. During her childhood she was baptized in the Pocahontas Methodist Church.

When she was 13, the family moved to Worland, Wyo. where she graduated from high school in 1944. She married Roy W. Brazelton April 18, 1947 in Billings, Mont. They were the parents of two children, Roy Thomas and Kay.

The Brazelton family moved to Lance Creek about 1960 from Cody, where Roy was employed by Marathon Pipeline Company. Their children attended grade school at Lance Creek. Roy Thomas graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1966 and Kay in 1971. The family moved to Powell and later to Cody.

Survivors include her husband, Roy of Cody; a son Roy Thomas of Powell; a daughter, Kay Chouinard of Cody; a sister, Kathleen Haley of Worland; four grandsons, one nephew, and one aunt.
