Mary Grace Bowman

Mary Grace (Cole) Bowman, age 60, of Lusk passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8 at her home in Lusk. A funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk. Interment took place at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Lakeside Cemetery in Loveland, Colo.

Mary Grace (Cole) Bowman was born in Loveland, Colo. on Sept. 22, 1943 to Edwin Calvin and Jewell Shelby (Clark) Cole. She was raised in Colorado and Wyoming. On Dec. 4, 1961, she married John Henry Bowman, Sr. in Denver, Colo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1995. They lived in Colorado, Arizona and Wyoming.

Mary worked as a waitress for many years and most recently worked as a dispatcher for the Niobrara County Sheriff's Office in Lusk Wyoming.

Aunt Mary, as she was known to many, is survived by her four sons, Thomas (Lorene) Bowman of Sacramento, Calif., David (Valerie) Compton of Logan, Utah, John (Shiela) Bowman, Jr. of Naples, Fla., and Luke Bowman of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters, Susan (Dennis) Kitzman of Keensburg, Colo, and Cheryle (Clifford) Wagner of Anton, Colo.

Mary is also survived by her special niece/daughter Kathleen "Kat" (Blaine) Shoopman of Phoenix, Ariz. She is also survived by her sister, Maxine (Dick) Eutsler of Osage, Ark., and Robert (Kelly) Cole of Lusk, Wyo., and special friend and adopted sister Bonnie Tousley of Lusk, Wyo. She leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins to mourn her passing.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, Michael, Peter, James, William and John Cole and three sisters, Lourania "Lou" Preadmore, Dorothy Cole and Eunice "Tiny" Schmidt. Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband in Loveland, Colo.
