Velma Georgia Brinckerhoff, 85, of Cheyenne, WY, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Cheyenne Healthcare Center. She was born November 26, 1915 in Otis, Colorado and lived there for 1 ½ years.
Mrs. Brinckerhoff was a member of Lusk Baptist Church, homemakers Clubs and was a 4-H leader for 45 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jean Garcia of Englewood, CO, and Diana McGrew of Denver, Co; five brothers, Carl Newcomb of Mokena, IL, Andy Newcomb of Lusk, WY, Earl Newcomb of Rifle, CO, Dean Newcomb of John Day, Oregon, and Albert Newcomb of Waterville, WA; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lester Sawyer and Gilbert Brinckerhoff, a son Richard, her parents Clyde and Mary Newcomb, two brothers and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Memorial services will be held on June 24, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lusk, Wyo.
