Charlene Ann (Pennington) Glandt, 76, of Cheyenne passed away May 17 at Kindred Rehabilitation.

She was born Dec. 8, 1936, to Roy and Bernice Pennington and raised on the family ranch north of Lost Springs. They later moved to Lusk, where she graduated from high school.

She married Ivan Glandt on March 17, 1957, and to this marriage three children were born: Todd, Curt and Christine. They lived in Greeley, Colo., and Lander, and eventually settled in Cheyenne. They later divorced.

She graduated from Greeley Beauty School. She was passionate about her work with people with developmental disabilities, serving on the Governorís Council on Developmental Disabilities and receiving recognition from Magic City Enterprises. She was a valued employee at Cheyenne Outfitters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Leona Canada; brothers, James and Ted Pennington; daughter, Christine; and her longtime companion, Rex Frye.

She is survived by her son, Todd; and two grandsons, Josh and Drew Moore.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Davis Hospice.
