CHAS. A. EUTSLER OF MANVILLE DIES AFTER OPERATION
WELL KNOWN RANCHER OF NIOBRARA PASSES AWAY AT DOUGLAS HOSPITAL
Demise occurs at 7:15 P.M. Friday and Funeral is Held at Manville Monday Afternoon
The entire community was shocked almost beyond expression on Saturday morning when it learned of the death of Charles A. Eutsler, which had taken place at the Douglas hospital on Friday evening, September 4th, at 7:15 p.m., following an operation for intestinal obstruction.
Although Mr. Eutsler was feeling badly for the three week past, no one realized he was in so serious a condition. Least of all his immediate family. He made no complaint and stood great suffering unto the end.
Mr. Eutsler was an old-timer in this country, having lived in Wyoming, near Glendo and Manville, for some 36 years and who, with many others, many of whom have gone on - some few still with us, endured the hardships of a new country, laying the foundation of modernism which we of today are enjoying.
He was a staunch and loyal friend, a kind, loving and considerate husband and father.
No wayfarer was ever turned away from his home unfed or unsheltered. Unlimited hospitality was extended to all whom fate guided his way, either for a long or short period of time.
The deceased was unusually fond of children and took great comfort during his last years here with his little grandchildren.
The esteem in which he was held was evidenced by the very large attendance of sorrowing relatives and sympathetic friends, some of many, some of only a few years standing and by the great distances many of them came in to pay him a last tribute of respect.
