Earl Hall Passed Away at Omaha

Earl Hall, 39, Niobrara County rancher, passed away at the Clarkson hospital in Omaha, May 29th from cancer.

Mr. Hall was a World War veteran and (came) to Wyoming about 15 years ago locating on a ranch near Lance Creek where he made many friends during the years that he lived there.

The remains were shipped to Lusk arriving here Monday morning and were taken to the Lusk Cemetery where a military funeral service was conducted at the grave at ten thirty by members of Derk J. Witen Post of the American Legion assisted by Rev. George Jenkins.

Past commander, F. A. Barrett had charge of the service and T. O. Miller was Post chaplain. The firing squad was under the direction of Delmer Himes.

The George Earl Peet Mortuary had charge of the funeral arrangements.

The deceased was born in Humbolt, Nebr., March 29, 1899, his mother dying at the time of his birth and his father a few years later.

He lived with a step-mother until 12 years of age then took care of himself from that time on.

June 6th, 1928 he was married to Mrs. Fern Pancake, the(n) later (separating.)

In 1918 he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Alliance, Nebr., and served during the duration of the war.

He was gased during the battle of the Muese Argonne and had been in ill health since that time.

Three step-children mourn his passing. They are Mrs. D. L. Strohl of Casper, Mrs. E. V. Sill of Elmira, Oregon and E. L. Pancake of Casper, Wyo.
