DEATH TAKES MRS. A. DAVIS FEBRUARY 27

Cora Jane Davis, age 50 years, wife of A. L. Davis, of Lusk passed away at her home on Monday, February 27th at 1:15 a.m. following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Peet Mortuary with Rev. P. H. Evans officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Abdon DeCastro, Mrs. C. E. Marvin, Mrs. Cobb, and Mrs. J. P. Watson. A special number on the saxophone was rendered by Geraldine Cobb. Pall bearers were: Bob Black, Robert Stigile, Donald Nier, Charles Vermeule, Frank Knittle, and Lee Starks. The remains were taken to Broken Bow, Nebraska, immediately following the services, where burial will be made. Rev. Evans accompanied the family to Broken Bow.

Obituary
Cora Jane Harrold was born in Rollins county, Kansas, September 16, 1888. When she was about one year old, her parents took her to Clay Center, Nebr., where she lived for some twelve years; thence to Walaorth, Round Valley, Nebr., and finally to Broken Bow, Nebr. where, on Sept. 31, 1906, she met and married Alman Davis. To this union were born seven children; two sons and five daughters. One son and one daughter died in infancy. In 1909 Mrs. Davis professed Faith in Christ and united with the M.E. Church. She came with her family to Lusk, Wyo., June 29, 1929 and shortly after united with the Baptist church where she remained a member until the time of her death. Died 1:15 Monday morning, February 27th, 1939. She leaves to mourn her loss; her husband, son, Joseph of Rawlins, Wyo., four daughters: Erma Weisel of Midvale, Idaho, Dorothy Chatterson, Maxine Davis and Dora Davis all three of Lusk, Wyo.; four grand-children, four sisters; all living in California, two of whom are present for the funeral, three brothers, two in California and one in Nebraska and many friends.

Mrs. Davis had been in poor health for a long time and totally disabled for the last month. All that medical skill and loving hands could do, was done.
