Joyce Marie Turner, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandma passed away peacefully on Sunday November 22, 2015. Joyce was born in Dearborn, Michigan in 1932. After graduating from Fordson College, she married Dave Reid and raised three daughters, Claudia (Hickman) who preceded her in death, Beth Bentley (Vern), and Laura Reid Edwards (Phil). In the late 1960's she met the love of her life Ken "Doc" Turner. They soon combined families and mom was blessed with three more daughters that she loved with all her heart, Kathi Ross (Joe), Diane Young Dyke (Denny), and LouAnn Bensinger (Mike). They lived in Central Lake, Michigan until 1977 when Ken and Joyce moved to Lusk, Wyoming where Ken practiced medicine for 25 more years. In 1999 they returned to Michigan. They lived there until shortly before Ken's death in 2004. She had a sense of humor that will provide family stories for many years to come. Her creativity, sense of style and zest for life will be remembered and cherished forever. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce was an inspiration to us all. Funeral services were held November 25, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Central Lake. Her legacy of resilience, humor, energy and zest for life will be with us forever. Rest in peace.
