Eda L. Brummett

Eda Lane Brummett, 84, of Greeley, Colo., formerly of Loveland, Colo., died October 2, 2001 in a local nursing home.

She was born March 18, 1917, in Manville to William S. and Minnie Dryer Pinkerton.

She married Dale Quick on September 29, 1937, in Gering, Neb. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1959. She then married Edward M. Brummett on October 4, 1960 in Cheyenne. They divorced. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1985. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Brummett moved to Loveland in October 1960 from Manville.

She was a member of American War Mothers Chapter 1 and assisted her children in 4-H activities. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and playing cards.

Mrs. Brummett is survived by two sons, Wilbur Quick and wife Pamela of Greeley, Colo., and Maurice "Bud" Brummett and wife Karen of Virginia; two daughters, Nancy Quick-Brewer of Lucerne and Melody Blair and husband David of Maryville, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a son Don Quick; three brothers and two sisters.

A funeral service was held October 9, 2001, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel, with Rev. James Vincent officiating.

Burial took place in Resthaven Memory Gardens north of Loveland, Colo.
